The Envirothon club is an environmental education team of West Vincent students in grades four and five. Students on the Envirothon team meet after-school weekly to learn to identify birds, mammals, fish, insects, trees, and plants of Pennsylvania. They will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of environmental concepts, of how human activity impacts the environment, and of how people can work together to enhance their lives by protecting the environment. Then the culminating activity is for the team to represent West Vincent in a competition off site. If your child is interested in participating please complete the parent permission slip and return by Monday, February 2nd, 2015. On that Monday interested students will take a screening test and five individuals will be selected for the WV team. The competition will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Hibernia County Park during the school day.
