Office of Real Estate Tax Collection
Tax Collection Resources
The District contracts with Fulton Bank for the collection of real estate taxes via a lock box system or you may pay in person at any Fulton Bank Branch. The Tax Office tracks the payments throughout the year and must prepare and send a lien list of all unpaid taxes to the County. All taxes not paid by January 2, 2013 are turned over to the Chester County Tax Claim Bureau for collection.

It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to make sure bills are received and paid. Please contact the Real Estate Tax Office if you have not received your bill by July 7th. A school real estate tax bill for each property is mailed to the last known postal address of the taxpayer. Tax bills are not mailed to mortgage companies or banking institutes. We do work with several different tax service companies who may obtain tax billing information for your property. Contact your mortgage company to find out if you need to forward your bill to them for payment. Many mortgage companies do not pay interim/supplemental bills. Before you send an interim bill to your mortgage company contact them for their policy on payment of interim bills.

If you have received a school real estate tax bill for a property that you no longer own please contact the Real Estate Tax Office at 610-469-5189.
