The U.S. Congress enacted the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to assure that all children with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education designed to meet their unique needs in the least restrictive environment.

In accordance with this law, the Owen J. Roberts School District is committed to working with parents to provide our students with quality educational experiences that will “Inspire Each Student for Success Today and Greatness Tomorrow”. In line with this commitment, the Owen J Roberts School District provides a full continuum of supports and services to all students thought to be exceptional and in need of specially designed instruction.

This is achieved through thoughtful and innovative programming at the district, as well as, by working collaboratively with the Chester County Intermediate Unit and other facilities licensed to serve special education students. We hope you find this section of the website both helpful and informative. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the staff members listed below.
